Default Tracking Hunting Dogs onto Private Property

Saw this today, property owners suing the state in VA over hunting laws
Allowing tracking dogs onto private property

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/virginia-...unting-dog-law

It got me wondering if PA has a similar law?

Yes Pa has a similar law. Google the "Purple Paint Law"

That's pretty fucked up that you can't stop people from trespassing on your land.

Yes,that really is.I saw a video of a property owner who confronted dog hunters on his land. The hunter was either an asshole or he was well aware of the law as he was giving the property owner a hard time about it.

The law only allows hunters to enter private property during deer season
And every state I know of allows you to shoot dogs that are chasing deer. Could get interesting but I think this will work itself out.

The law was originally established in 1938
    So stop bitching about it.

NFA was established in 1934, should we stop bitching about it too?

Not Pa, attacking not chasing unless you are a Game Warden.

Pennsylvania state Game & Wildlife Code does allow for the shooting of dogs "by any person when the dog is found to be in the act of attacking a big game animal," the code states. If a dog is merely chasing deer, turkeys or bears, it can be shot and killed "only by a Game Commission officer"

Parts of Virginia allow hunting deer with dogs.
