Default Looking to join a club

Hello all, I am looking for somewhere new to shoot. I mostly shoot AR platform rifles as well as some .22.

Any recommendations for a club that is welcoming to new members?

Gem City Outdoorsmen Club, in McKean, on Van Camp Road, near the Buffalo Farm, if you know where that is. Nothing fancy. Has a 100 yard range, targets must be posted on boards, that are at different distances. Benches. No rapid fire. Also has a 200 yd range, which is very Spartan. Just an area to shoot. They also have trap and archery shooting, and sporting clay course. Even has a catch and release fishing pond. Rates are very reasonable.

Not to be confused with Gem City Gun Club, which is on Donlin Rd. south of Harborcreek. It is off Depot Rd. if you know where that is. This club is more for rifle and pistol shooters. Has more ranges, and costs are just slightly more than the above club. They also have trap and archery ranges.

    Social Member: New Member: = $60.00 Renewal: = $45.00
    Family Membership New Member: = $70.00 Renewal: = $55.00
Family membership includes Spouse and Children 18 years and younger.
    Junior Member New Member: = $10.00 Renewal: = $10.00
Juniors are 18 years or younger
    Senior Member: New Member: = $40.00 Renewal: = $25.00

You would need a sponsor for this one.

Both are quite a bargain compared to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia area clubs. I only pay $20 a year for Gem City Outdoorsmen, so I keep renewing, even though I haven't been able to shoot much, the last couple of years.

Please use caution at State Gameland 109 range. The lack of general safety rules are often overlooked.

I just checked it out online. Sounds good. They even have metal targets. I wonder why nobody at my indoor range ever mentioned that to me. I've been in Harborcreek for 20 years now. Since I can't shoot much anymore, I guess I won't consider joining though. Funny thing is, it's almost as far for me to go there as it is to Gem City in McKean.
I just looked at the rules for the other Gem City in Harborcreek, and I'm glad I didn't join there. They have some strange rules. No concealed carry for guests. No open carry by anyone. If you want to shoot your carry gun, you have to bring it in cold, magazine detached, action open. They do have a lot of ranges though.

Sometimes what lies beyond the berm forces some cautionary rules. For example, a gun going off muzzle high sends a projectile into neighboring properties. Couple of those could spell end of club.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
