Bear in lansdowne

Three helicopters have been hovering above near my house since 830 this morning,
looking out for a bear.

Bogey.... It's now in Kent park.. It's a good size black bear. Charles Kelly Elementary School has been on lockout for at least 3 hours.

I'll upload a pic that was taken by Delco Park Police.

Hopefully they can tranquilize and relocate it.

Ok, As for 14:30 hours the bear, now with cub, is still at Kent park and an attempt to tranquilize it missed.

Charles Kelly will be dismissing at their normal time with a substantial police presence.

Is it a leather bear, bear chub or what? It's that time of year. No doubt escaped the gayborhood in search of a young twink.

Yeah I hope they dont kill it. Haven't seen the helo's in a while, must have been caught.
or they cant afford to fly any longer.

Helo's are back, probably had to refuel.

The Game Commission tries real hard to not kill them. They will use a dart gun then transfer it to the big woods.
If this were the fall of the year, it might be different. Bears can't be tranquilized to close to bear season, it takes some days for the drugs to leave the bear so the meat is edible again.

It looks to be a pretty good size bear from the picture I saw.
