Every killing of a person by another person is a homicide. Every use of a gun to put bullets into someone is a shooting.

Some homicides are excusable, and not murders, and not "criminal homicide". "Justification" is a defense, that separates the justifiable homicides from the criminal homicides.

He never pulled the trigger. That pistol was going off by itself all week, the inside of the gun safe is pocked like a teenager's face.

Dead offenders never reoffend. Good shooting and happy trails to the kids. The shallow end of the gene pool is safe from further breeding. Praise God pass the ammo!
