Re: Fitting Sights To Slide....I think the vendor screwed mine up...
The slide should have been checked when the dovetail was cut. Many a dovetail cutter is slightly undersize. It is no big deal to cut a little more when everything is still lined up. Many a collet in a mill runs out, so the dovetail cuts big. Then you have to improvise. What it comes down to is quality control.

Yikes! It looks like a kid went to town on those sights on a block of concrete.
I agree with above. See if they fit any other pistol slides.AR accessories - Barbie for men

Sorry for the delay in a response. I took the sights to the gunsmith at my range, who set them into my Glock 26. They fit fine.

Re: Fitting Sights To Slide....I think the vendor screwed mine up...
It*s funny to me when those who CLEARLY don*t know, give their opinion on how parts should fit. While yeah it*s a n ugly surface, who cares? You don*t see it! Yes, I machine/finish cleaner than that, but I*m a perfectionist. Also, I*m not doing this for a living! My Gunsmithing is to help other enthusiasts. But I started learning on my own over 2 decades ago, specifically so I didn*t have to PAY someone else.
