    Default Luger info

Looking for some info on a pistol that I have the chance to buy. Other than doing some searches, I am not familiar with them. It is a 41 byf with a 3 digit serial # and no prefix letter. There are no markings on either side of the frame or under the barrel. All parts, except the side plate, are marked with the last two digits of the serial #. Would like to find out a little more about it and a price range before buying it. Thank you. I tried adding pics with no luck. Will add some once I figure it out.

If pics won't load, it's probably because they are too big. The system won't tell you they're too big, they just won't load. I've read that they need to be under 1meg but mine are always much smaller than that so I can't verify that number.

It does appear that at least the barrel and slide have been refinished. Also, it has a straw hammer and take down lever which according to others and my research, is not correct for the year.

It sounds like a build. There are a lot of them and some of the builders will add stamps to parts trying to increase value.
However a Luger is a Luger and weather a real collectible or just an average gun, they a command a premium.
Even with those tiny sights, they are still very accurate and fun to shoot.

I'll assume a 41 is 9MM. How much is being asked?

Sounds like a mix-master. Still, would make for a fun shooter. I would spitball a guess, without seeing it, at maybe $900. Lugers are nuts these days. If it's not refinished, all parts match, and in decent shape, you're looking at closer to $2,000. Matching mag add another $300.
