Interesting. Wish I could of found some of that cheap 32 rimfire ammo a few years ago. Seemed hard and expensive to come by then.
Wanted it for an old single shot rifle that was used to stun hogs here ages ago. Mainly just for nostalgia.
Ended up getting a few custom cases off Dixie Gun that used a .22 blank as a primer. Some black powder and cast got it going again.
Novelty wore off very quickly.
Here's another approach to loading it using ramset powder charge blanks. Saved the bookmark but lost interest and never got around to it:

Anybody thinking of trying this needs to read up on their laws as some places it is still considered a firearm. I do know that any thing that will get you prison time with a firearm will get you prison time with an antique.

Yup, it has to be the OP's assertion and certainly isn't a supply and demand issue.
