It's an M1 carbine clone with 9.5" barrel and a pistol stock, along with some things unique to Iver Johnson.

Yours looks like a 1st gen NJ model (1977-1982). Is it marked Plainfield Machine or Iver Johnson?

It’s very cool. I researched serial number and Iver history. It was made right when Iver was bought by group in AR. This gun was nearly complete in NJ and had a serial number when all parts/guns/etc were shipped from Iver in NJ to new company in AR. The gun was stamped Iver Johnson but when completed stamped Jacksonville, AR instead of Middlesex, NJ. After all the nearly whole pistols the new company received were finished in AR, they started a new serial number prefix, lengthened the barrel slightly, and put an ugly grip on all pistols going forward.

I remember reading about these back in the gun magazine Era. Very cool.

That's it, I'm done for 2022! Couldn't pass up sweet deals on Colt 25 auto, early Charter Arms Off duty, and who doesn't need an otf tactical pen!!!!

Picked up 2 jobsmart weapon lights at Tractor Supply. Surprised how bright they are. Pressure switch is fine but i just don't dig them overall. I am more comfortable hitting back button with thumb. Besides, they didn't supply 2 way tape, but i have some that is crazy secure if I do decide to use... anyway, they work well.

Oh yeah, also bought a Boss ME25 multi-effect pedal for my guitar. My nephew bought one and he's coming by to get some pointers so it will be easier to explain things from my own pedal...

I finally did it. If you know my "taste" this will make perfect sense. If not, you will just shake your head. And no, I didn't break my vow from Thursday that I was done for the year. I bought this two weeks ago and just came in.
The bag with craftsman/maker, the slide and barrel, and then sitting on top of one of my Glock Gen 2's I have Ohhhhhhhhh yeah!

Nice. A Redhawk in .44 mag has been on my list for a while now. Then I forget until someone posts a pic and then I want one again.
