Picked up my CVA scout in 6.5 Creedmoor, not my first choice of calibers for something like this, but for $300 I had to pounce

M1910 Russian “Snow Cap” Maxim in 7.62x54R, new semi right side plate. I need to get some semi trigger parts, do some machining, and figure out how to hammer it together. Also need to pick up a Sokolov mount for it.

Camera died, again, but picked up another Enfield in 303 British. Lady selling off her deceased husband's collection. Shop has an awful lot of used guns, so policy is if it's not something we can't get or is really interesting, we are not buying right now. One on the list intrigued me..."junk, for parts". I have been looking for just that to play with...I don't want to try bluing or refinishin on my good rifles, so sight unseen, offered $100. "Sold".

Took it out of the blanket it was wrapped in about an hour later. Whoever told her it was junk should be smacked. No4 MK1, brass butt plate has some wear, but the rest of the gun was pristine. Even numbers matching all the way down to the bolt handle and magazine. Kinda felt guilty at a hundred, but it was "sight unseen". Plus, have a few "pig sticke" bayonetts and oilers, while those wont be numbers matchin per se, it will complete the piece of history. And, yes, it shoots beautifully. Will try to get a good pic when I get a few spare minutes.

Still looking for a junk gun to practice on.

Maybe just me but, but thought this was a great deal. I saw this gb auction and assumed it was for a Ballester Molina Holster seeing that was the main/only picture when you looked up Ballester Molina's. $390 which I though was a little steep for the holster and I assumed everyone else did too because no bids getting ready for auction to end.
Then I scrolled the ads pictures, and the auction was actually for a 45 and the holster came with it. So, I ended up with the pistol and holster for $390 plus $30 shipping I have a couple Govt marked Ballester Molinas already, great guns, and prices like everything else are going up on them. It pays to look, scroll, etc.
