Re: What did you buy yourself today - PART 2
I don't, neighbor does - but being in town, and they only moved in about 2 months ago, I don't think they'd be friendly with me laying a rifle on their driveway and taking pics. They seem to be snooty - pretend to not see us give a greeting wave.
I thought about putting it on the hood of my truck for lighting and backdrop, but same neighbors property line just about 15ft away.
I'll just have to drive to either of our family farms next time, or to wherever EmptyMag takes his.
The Enfield definitely wasn't "Bubba'erized" with the sporter conversion. Whomever did it put time and money into it.RIP: SFN, 1861, twoeggsup, Lambo, jamesjo, JayBell, 32 Magnum, Pro2A, mrwildroot, dregan, Frenchy, Fragger, ungawa, Mtn Jack, Grapeshot, R.W.J., PennsyPlinker, Statkowski, Deanimator, roland, aubie515, SteveWag

Re: What did you buy yourself today - PART 2
Love my Thursday gunshop visits. And today, owner had a "I want to get rid of some things" day 5 AR 7.62.39 mags for $40 - yes please. And some stupid deals on a new Springfield 10mm with optic, barely used S&W 629 5" 44mag and a sweet Browning 380 - sign me up! Time to give it a rest for a few weeks - lol.

Re: What did you buy yourself today - PART 2
I have had a Sig M11-A1 (P229) with threaded barrel and X-ray NS on hold at my LGS for a while, I hit on a gun bash door ticket for a Howa in 22-250 that I do not have a need for, so I put the credit toward the Sig and picked it up last Thursday. Three 16-round mags, DA/SA trigger. Not sure just why I wanted it so badly, I have smaller hands, and the Sig grip is usually just a trifle too big for me. But I haven't bought a non-polymer pistol in a while, I guess.

Re: What did you buy yourself today - PART 2
That's essentially the Browning 1922 that was modified to meet the importation criteria promulgated by GCA '68. That model, with its modified slide, thumbrest left grip plate, pinkie perch mag floorplate, and intrusive target rear sight was imported and sold in the USA through the 70s and into the '80s. Browning collectors have a polarizing view of them; either love it or hate it. Regardless, they are nice guns to shoot.
