Re: What did you buy yourself today - PART 2
My haul from the Hagerstown military show and swap meet earlier this month. The swap meet area was big, and there were a lot more gun parts at the show than I remember from when I was going to these shows about a decade ago. Not too many vehicles on display but a decent show with the airport museum included.
US 3" Navy brass case. US 3" Navy cut down brass case, marked for saluting use. US 37mm anti tank gun case. Gunsmith screw driver set with hollow ground tips. They're not high end, but they were 10% cost of new. The 4 brown ammo cans are British 303 cans. They are skinnier than the common US 7.62 M19 can so they fit 7.62x51 but not .30-06. I grabbed the CUCV fuel can mount for a friend. There's some M1919 Browning parts sprinkled in the pic. I thought the barrel extension was for an M1917 but it's actually for an Argentinian M1928 Browning. Picked up some hard to find 7/16" NOS gun mount pins and other inert ordnance as you can see. I bought the M60 flash hider because I'm hoping it will magically attract the rest of the M60!
My haul from the Findlay military show and swap meet this past weekend. It took me about 3 hours to see all the vendors and check out all the vehicles on display. They had Huey rides and flamethrower demonstrations going on. I will probably go back next year and stay longer. I need to go on Thursday though to get first pick of the vendors. I missed some deals on gun parts.
.30 cal cans left to right: M1A1 can with latch to hook on the 1917 tripod, T4 can for use in armored vehicles, M1918 box, M1917 box. Sten mags were cheap so I grabbed those and now I guess I have to build a Sten. Surplus M16 carry handle. NOS US machinegun oil can. Some 7.62 NATO and 7.62x54R blanks. 9/16" gun mount pins that are hard to find. New reproduction inert German grenade. Inert bazooka rocket to go with the replica M1A1 bazooka I built from a Sarco kit. The 20mm can something I had never seen before. Looks perfect to fit under a car seat. And a spare wheel for my M38A1.
