    Default Federal 30 Super Carry

This months American Riflemen has an article on Federal 30 Supercarry. This past Friday and Saturday S&W held an event at Heritage Guild in Easton with $10.00 a mag to shoot the 30 Super Carry. It is intended to bridge a gap between .380 and 9mm as a defensive carry round. Gives you more rounds to carry and meets 9mm ballistic capabilities. I shot the round and it was not snappy at all and the recoil impulse was more of a "push" than snap that you get when shooting 9mm in a small polymer carry handgun. I shot the 30 Super Carry with a S&W Shield. No issues with keeping a tight grouping. Early in the game on this one especially with ammunition availabilities at the moment. It's certainly an interesting concept, but I'm not likely to get one. G26 is easy to carry and shoot, and I can easily carry reload mags holding 17 or more rounds.

I am really interested in the 30 Super Carry. Waiting to see what else comes out in that caliber

I’m curious about it for competition use where your capacity can go a long way in winning stages and matches. It’ll be interesting to see if it takes off there in a few years

And here I am with my G-42 and TONS of ammo. I will be curious to see what pistol configurations it is offered in and how ubiquitous and expensive the ammo will be.

So it's a straight wall Tokarev. Wow. So new and exciting. I'll keep the Russian 1911.
