They've been waiting for an anti-gun President, like Joe Biden, to take the White House so they can launch an all-out effort to ratify it in the U.S. Senate.

This comes up every time a Democrat gets in the Whitehouse. People start freaking out thinking the blue helmets are going to come take their guns.

Remember that treaties don't supersede our Constitution. Congress would still have to pass laws to fulfill POTUS' promises to other nations. Hopefully the Dems will remember what happened in 1996 if they do.

Even if they do, it's just a law so it can be un-done in the next election cycle. However I've never seen a gun law repealed.
