Nope. I'm done with the "well it could be worse" bullshit. Death by a thousand cuts. No more, any infringement is all infringement. The ATF can fuck themselves.

Agreed. Never said we should be happy or accept it, but that they could have gone much further. Like demanding everyone turn in their 80%s, serializing uppers, slides and barrels, etc. Way less than I was expecting, that's all.

You mean like that Republican President did with Bumpstocks after the urging by the NRA? Funny how that shit works huh?

    Fuck the NRA.

I'm mostly positive still on Trump as a whole though.

Very valid point. Isn't this contradictory:

Sure, Trump did the bumpstock 'thing', but any Dem would have been worse. He's still good and I'd vote for him again.

    VS

The new ATF regulation could have been worse. Whaddya mean? Absolutes are absolutes.

Not that I agree with either action. Just an observation.

I am not happy about Trump endorsing The Lizard of Oz at all and I don't understand why Kathy Barnette is being ignored. It would sure be nice if we could get his comments on the while thing.

The ruling only affecting full kits is just another bite out of our apple and it will only lead to the next. All the while, they're allowing, enabling and even encouraging hoodlums to run amok. This is big writing on the walls, don't ignore it. I just wish they'd cut right to the chase and declare a legal free-for-all already.

I am reading some and hearing some that purchasing an upper for an AR may have to go through an ffl?

But you can purchase a complete rifle through private sale?

This is already confusing as hell.

If you buy a rifle from an FFL, it has to 'go through' that FFL. I would expect that if you bought that AR upper second hand from a citizen, the rules regarding it would not change (for now).

Not to derail this thread but since we're talking about uppers and lowers. Any good sites anybody recommends for a complete quality upper in FDE? I'm building a two tone build and can't find much in FDE for uppers in stock at Midway, Palmetto etc.

What about buying an upper from online? You never had to go through an FFL check, but could buy from an FFL and could simply have it delivered to your home.
