So this just means we buy out every single p80 kit on the market and horde them over the next 120 days...before background check to purchase them and forced serialization take effect, yes?

Waiting for the lawsuits and injunctions to start...

So what is the breakdown of what's happening? I read the summary and it just sounds like they're changing definitions:

On April 11, 2022, the Attorney General signed ATF final rule, Definition of *Frame or Receiver* and Identification of Firearms, amending ATF*s regulations by removing and replacing the regulatory definitions of *firearm frame or receiver* and *frame or receiver* using examples and diagrams to clearly convey what is a *frame or receiver,* amending the definitions of *firearm* and *gunsmith,* providing definitions of terms such as *complete weapon,* *complete muffler or silencer device,* *privately made firearm* and *readily,* and amending regulations on marking and recordkeeping.

From what i gather in the little bit i read and with limited knowledge of legal-ese, 80% lowers and p80 kits will now be treated as a firearm. Uppers/slides are treated as a firearm and require serialization...No more online purchases, must be serialized and background checks performed at time of sale from an FFL. Which means no more cash and carry at gun shows either...

4473 records will be retained indefinitely after an FFL is out of business (de facto registry), rather than being destroyed after 20(?) years...

You can still build your own fireaems, but they will have serial numbers going forward...applied by a licensed gunsmith/ffl holder. Basically defeats one of the main purposes of PMF’s.

I didnt see anything about the rules being changed foe serialization of already owned/completed PMF’s.

Pag23 puts it about as simply as it gets...its gov’t overreach...on par for the Bureau of Assclowns, Twats, and Fuckheads. Just makes more of us law abiding citizens felons and takes more freedom out of the “free” capitalist market
