Re: Proposed ATF 80% rules and kits
Just saw a few youtube videos on this, and looked up the original article afterwards. It's coming from ABC, so I'm not taking it as the gospel, and they certainly could have misquoted the NSSF guy. Not trying to be chicken little, but, if quoted correctly, it would seem to indicate that the dogshooters now want slides/uppers as well as frames/lowers serialized, right?
"Already, the proposed changes have been met with pushback from the firearms trade industry. Keane, from the NSSF, said in an interview with ABC News that the proposed definition overreaches ATF's statutory authority. Many of the new implementations, such as multiple or reprinted serial numbers on guns, a manufacturing overhaul and unclear implementation details, overstep the ATF's authority, he said."

AFAIK, "serial numbers" can consist entirely of letters- so, that opens up some good possibilities.
I'm going with Yoder's idea, and will be voluntarily serializing all of my pre-68 guns with a "serial number" that represents my thoughts on the ATF.They even have minds but do not think. -Dov Fischer

Yes
Iron sights are a key feature of the military-style assault guns that kill so many children every year
Registration of iron sights will prevent criminals from having easy access to dangerous items
and will allow our law enforcement partners to apprehend those who use them in crime
Also, register your black powder guns, because they're quite readily converted to full auto
This will result in criminals having one less way to turn common hunting rifles into dangerous weapons of war
We're all in this togetherThey even have minds but do not think. -Dov Fischer
