Transporting NFA trust items
Looking for some guidance on the transportation of NFA items across the state. Here's the story. A buddy of mine died and I was appointed executor of his estate. He held in an NFA trust, 2 SBRs and 4 silencers. His father is the only trustee listed and I must hand them over to him. Problem is, he has severe mobility issues and cannot ride in a car for the length of time it takes to get here to pick them up. Am I allowed to transport the items to the father? Being the executor, I would think so, but my lawyer thinks not. The father's wife was going to come pick the items up alone, but my lawyer said no to that because I'm not giving them directly to the trustee himself. Any advice? Phil?

Re: Transporting NFA trust items
You should file the correct form with the ATF that you are transporting the 2 SBR's across state lines. The Suppressors are exempt from notification.
As the executor you are allowed to give them to the other trustee only.www.Steelvalleycasting.com is your new home for coated bullets and custom ammo.

I would not be crossing state lines. Just going from northeast pa to sw pa.
