ATF denying “Solvent Trap” Form 1’s!!!!

* I added this to my F5 thread…. But think it deserves its own….

Rut-Roe boys and girls*. Looks like ATF is denying Form 1s for these on the grounds that
Solvent Traps are already suppressors
Even if they are uncut or drilled*. Never doubt that ATF has no qualms about changing/breaking their own rules*.

This is major bullshit!!!

WASHINGTON, D.C. * Earlier this week, the American Suppressor Association was notified by ASA members that ATF has recently disapproved a large number of Form 1 applications to manufacture suppressors. As we work to gather all the facts surrounding these denials, we are simultaneously working alongside the Firearms Regulatory Accountability Coalition (FRAC) to develop a unified response.

Something doesn't sound right here.......AFAIK you needed a form 1 before you start making a suppressor. So is there a part in the application that makes you list the pieces of metal you start with before machining one? How does the ATF even know you are starting with a mostly done solvent trap?


Does this have anything to do with a solvent trap or are they just denying all form 1s now.?

The point is suppressors should never have been regulated to begin with. Form 1 suppressor kits is the same fix that form 1 sbr's is, since sbr's should also never have been regulated. Form 1's would barely exist if form 4's didn't take over a year. Solvent traps and other form 1 suppressor kits are capitalism answering a call for a product that didn't take a year to legally obtain. They did this to themselves.
