I thought my sarcasm was fairly apparent. Seems to me they want you to admit in the paperwork that you possess what they will retroactively declare is a suppressor without the proper taxes being paid. Why else do they need clear pictures of the parts that until recently weren*t an NFA device?

I think it's just a bogey man they hold over us. I doubt anybody gets charged with constructive intent as a stand alone charge. More likely to get charged with unregistered silencers like they did with the wish . Com solvent traps

I saw some postings that people were getting denied even when specifying they didn't yet own any parts and/or they were going to be manufacturing from raw materials.

I have no idea if I'm being factually correct or just ranting but this all went to shit when they declared every part of a silencer is a "silencer".

I think it started with a manufacturer that made rubber wipes that fit on the end caps. The AFT came out and said that the wipes themselves were "silencers" and thus could not be purchased separately and had to be replaced by the manufacturer.

How the fuck can you form 1 something when you can't possess any of the necessary parts to build the fucking thing

I would be more concerned with the charge of lying to a federal agent, which is easily and often thrown around.
