It doesn't matter, the Clean Slate Act only hides convictions from your neighbors and future employers and such, it hides nothing from PICS or the Feds.

And actually, a huge number of offenses might allow a sheriff to deny you an LTCF without denying you a gun purchase, and not just the drug convictions that are mandatory LTCF prohibitors. In fact, some traffic stops that resulted in no convictions have been used to deny LTCF's in the past. There was a case where a guy driving hookers around after midnight so they could buy drugs was denied, even though he was never charged with anything; the sheriff thought that was evidence of bad character. Maybe it was. Can't remember the last time I was driving whores around for their drug buys.

Someone with dozens of summary disorderly conduct convictions might be viewed reasonably as unfit to carry a killing machine, for example; I think we all want our fellow gun carriers to possess adequate impulse control.

    I do.

Would constitutional carry put us at risk for someone with anger management issues? (rhetorical)

I haven't heard anything of TN becoming more dangerous after they went constitutional carry last year.

Freedom always allows for more bad decisions. So does giving the government a monopoly on force. Look at the worst massacres carried out by rogue individuals, like the Vegas shooting. Now add up all the Wacos and no-knock raids and bystanders killed by cops and wars based on lies. That's WITHOUT the mass death toll of collectivists in China and the USSR and Cambodia and Cuba and elsewhere, which add up to tens of millions murdered by their own governments.

Ppat: Forum note - When replying to a particular post (as I did here to 2 of your posts) it is helpful to use "Reply With Quote" at the bottom right of the message so we know to whom and to what you are replying. You can trim things out if you are only replying to part of a post. Look around for examples. That is all.
