Springfield Hi Power

Fondled a new Hi Power today at my shop. Nice gun and am told they are hard to find. Great price but I've never been a hi power fan - one of the few probably - lol.

LOL. There's a waiting list for them unfortunately. Don't think they will have any in the case for some time.

They look far better than FN's 'New HiPower.'

Is the Springfield ambi safety and external extractor?

Damn, didn*t even get to look at it. Couldn*t have gone to a better guy. I hear the waiting list is in the neighborhood of 15. Sadly I*m at the bottom. Gonna be a long wait. The hi power wasn*t high on my list but springfields upgrades made it much more interesting to me. Let us all know how it works.

Rather than the FN, I lucked out a few years ago and picked up an Inglis Mk 2. The "inch" version of the original FN. Dave_n

Picked one of these up locally today for $689+ tax. Always wanted one and Springfield got this one right! Can’t wait to try it out. Need to find a few more mags for it as it only came with one.

Looks like they are starting to become more widely available now after 2 years.

Might get one for Christmas.
