Default At $40 a box, is shooting worth it anymore?

I am not a high volume shooter but every time I used to shoot at least two boxes. That's $80-$100 for just one outing. And how long does it take? 30 minutes? Looks like they finally found a way to disarm us.

I'm still buying ammo, but waiting for the right time to shoot it...

You need to find a cheaper caliber.

    Why not buy in bulk?

After the 2013 shortage I said never again.

When prices were cheap, I stacked and stacked.

I learned to reload to be able to reload my own brass and also stacked up on cheap reloading components in the Trump years.

Take this lesson and run with it for next time.

At some point, don't know when, prices will moderate and flatten. When the next dip happens buy in and stack.

I have a picture of myself shooting with my Grampa at 3 years old. That was 62 years ago. Shooting is important to me, so over the years I*ve gone to great lengths to make it as affordable as I can. I reload almost everything. I choose common calibers, most of which are cast bullet friendly. I started reloading and casting very young, literally at my Daddy*s knee.

I*ve been poor, I*ve been comfortable, I*ve been flush. I shot through all of it. Yes. It is worth it.

"At $40 a box, is shooting worth it anymore?"

    Depends on who it is

You could use a knife or bat instead!
