Default 🤔 'The brand is so toxic': Dems fear extinction in rural US

    😲 Oh the humanity
Democratic candidate for the Pennsylvania U.S.senate seat in the 2022 primary election, Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, arrives for a campaign stop at the Mechanistic Brewery, in Clarion, Pa., Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022. The Democratic Party's brand is so toxic in some parts of rural America that liberals are removing bumper stickers and refusing to acknowledge their party affiliation publicly.

I know we're already screwed but if this thing gets elected, it's even worse. I wonder if that brewery invited it and I hope they suffer serious backlash for it.

That's funny, I don't remember Democrat signs and bumper stickers that incited vandalism and theft.
The appalling stories about MAGA hats and Trump signs on the other hand are legion. I didn't put a Trump sticker on my car because I didn't want to get keyed.

Yahoo doesn't allow comments, that's unfortunate. And it sucks when you reap what you sow.

*The hatred for Democrats is just unbelievable,* said Tim Holohan, an accountant based in rural McKean County who recently encouraged his daughter to get rid of a pro-Joe Biden bumper sticker. *I feel like we*re on the run.*

This is a good example of projection, where these folks are seeing demons that only exist in their head, because of how they think they would act (and some in fact did) if the roles were reversed...

    I like this quote:

"We're letting Republicans use the language of the far left to define the Democratic Party, and we can't do that," Heitkamp said.

i.e. "They're using our own words against us! Make them stop!"
