Default Custom gear sewing project help: attaching tubes to cummerbund

I need to mount First Spear tubes to my plate carrier cummerbund. You can see the pictures above showing that I need to cut off the Velcro end, and somehow attach the tubes in its place.

What's a good source for getting this done? I know there's a million custom gear makers out there, but I'm not really sure who to ask to do this for me. Someone in southeast PA would be great

    Thanks for the help!

Funny, I was just gifted a singer to do some horse blanket repairs. I'd offer my services but thus far I have only 5 minutes of experience....

speedy stitcher. and 1" webbing. Try and get it behind the molle webbing the heavy nylon thread wearrs like Iron and with some practice you can make the stiches look OEM practice a bit on old cheapie back packs

Its a great skill to master for making, repairing or modding any load bearing equipment like backpacks or LBE vests
My GBHB is a maxpedition jumbo versa pack, with water and full load out it puts some strain on the load bearing shoulder causing an impingement of the collar bone into the joint resulting in some inflammation and pain. The solution is to take some of the load off and put it on the waist and hips, So I speedy stitched a 3" tool belt from HF into the pack Works great, no more pain after long hikes for practice and strengthening

Good luck finding someone willing to do it. A few years ago I contacted multiple seamstresses about making a custom nightgown based something that Deanna Troi wore in TNG. Most never got back to me, one did then ghosted. Seems they're a flighty bunch.

Can you just purchase a replacement cummerbund? What is the attachment method on the back? If you want to go that route check out Beez Combat Systems or Spritius Systems. Both sell replacement cummerbunds for a variety of plate carriers.

If you want a cheap alternative there are retrofit kits out there. Something like this:
    https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B088JTBQ4H/

They work pretty well but aren't perfect.

EDIT: Here's one that's in stock:
    https://smile.amazon.com/Tactical-Ve.../dp/B09PBZHXC8

    This company also sells retrofits:
https://www.axladvanced.com/ FYI though - they absolutely rape you on shipping.

Any shoe repair place should have a heavy duty machine and bang that out for you. You could also try a local custom leather worker, they usually have an industrial sewing machine as well.

Probably closer options, but Dinunzio's Shoe Repair in Lebanon would probably do it, and they're very reasonable. They do shoes, clothing repair, and dry cleaning I think (or at least used to). Been around forever too.

My mom taught me to sew over 50 years ago. You drop Deanna Troi off for a private fitting and I will put something ... appropriate ... together for her...
