    Default COYOTE POPULATION !

First time I saw a pack of 3 coyotes North of RT 423 on RT 196, all three were trotting like they were searching for food. I have seen single coyotes by themselves crossing RT 423 & RT 196. Mucho activity for us hunters if you can brave the cold! sighting was at 9:30 a.m. 02/06/2022!

That's one animal that I would shoot just to eradicate.

I do not hunt and never shoot animals, but for coyotes I always make an exception.

This is why we need semi-auto rifles for hunting...

semi auto is legal for coyote and other furbearers. there are just to many fudds for semi-auto for big game

there have been a bunch of them sighted around me and people can panicky about it but if you say they should be hunting the same people say its wrong.

Three yotes does not make a pack, but I have watched groups up to 4 hunting together. About 6 years ago I cut the fresh trail of 10 coyotes in new snow in SGL 312 here in Gouldsboro. We have lots around here. I just heard one calling out back two nights ago at around 0100.

And, although I do hunt them a couple times/year, I generally like having them around. They're really interesting critters.

I think that's because the mange that had been sweeping the local packs has, hopefully, run its course.
