Need to know if it is legal to buy M855 green tip ammo for 5.56 AR. Penetrator ammo in PA.

$249- 500 rounds
$449- 1,000 rounds

I find that guy distasteful. He'd hike the price on SPF +50 sun block if the ozone layer were to completely dissipate and drain off into space. As it is, he just jerked a case of Wolf 7.62x39 Military Classic HP to $249, which is nosebleed-high, even with shipping.

Buying from ammoman. I have purchased from him before and no problems. $449 for the 1000. Just in case things go bad.

I agree ... it's up to $249 wow ... it went from $199 to $229 (day after election) now $249. Man that sucks. The problem is that most places are doing the some thing.

Thats only M193(55gr) not M855(62gr). The M855 has a green tip and small steel penetrator in the tip with a lead core.

Aim has the best prices.

Ammoman has the best selection.

For what its worth, the 2-3 places selling the 855 are charging that same price. The other place just gives it to you on SAW links with tracers every 5 rounds. For the exact same price, and its all 20+ years old.

That may be SS109, but it aint M855. It's never been through any US government testing, and M855 is a US spec.

I know people like Prvi, and it's certainly great ammo, but REAL US Lake City (not PD) or Winchester demands a premium. For one thing, fragmentation tests on Prvi have been spotty/ambiguous/inconsistent.
