DIY for snugging loose upper and lower.
I thought about this after reading the takedown tool thread.
If it even bothers you. I don't mind the space, I don't like the rattle.
Tightening screw, I guess it works, extra expense. Wedge? O-rings, would they hold up?
I went to my repurpose pile. Found a chunk of stiff but not hard rubber. Can't remember where it came from but knew it might come in handy some day.
Cut it to size to fit in snug behind the selector and under the pin channel. Make it a wee bit snug, it will wear to a good fit.
Caveat: I have used the rifle like this. It stayed in place perfectly. Not sure if it might loosen in a situation of extremely rigorous use with extreme heat, water, dirt, etc.
Caveat #2: In no way am I "telling" anyone what to do with their rifle. (inside situation in case you missed it.)
Simple concept, no? Critique welcome.

Thou shalt not speak of the accu-wedge upon the forum. I think that's the 8th commandment of PAFOA.

AW Hell I thought that you had an answer for false teeth, what a disappointment.

Re: DIY for snugging loose upper and lower.
Years ago my wife won a DPMS AR15 at a gun bash that had a lot of slop between the receivers and the accu-wedge did a pretty good job at taking that slop up. The rifle went from being over 2 MOA down to about 1.5 MOA and survived at least a few thousand rounds before I sold it to a friend to buy a better quality rifle.
[EDIT: For 3d printers] I haven't played around with this file but have had it for a while now. I image using a nylon filament would be a a good start for a test piece but requires a heat chamber to reduce risk of delamination.

The wedge worked on my 1990/91 Colt H-Bar that had the funky large front pin. All my Colts that have the standard front pin don't have the loose upper/to lower problems.
