Help torquing a barrel - Aero M5
I finally have all the components to assemble a 308 aero precision M5. I cannot find the barrel wrench for the atlas one hand guard barrel nut in stock anywhere. Is there anyone who could help me torque this barrel on? I can do the rest. I*m in Pittsburgh. Thanks in advance.

If I recall correctly, the M5 takes a standard wrench. It is only the M4 Atlas handguards that use the proprietary wrench.

It is the Atlas Handguard with the proprietary barrel nut, like in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=w0n05cuJ2Vs

That video shows the AR-15/M4 Atlas. Since you are assembling a 308/M5, you should have a barrel nut like pictured in the link below. Notice how it is patterned to use a standard armorers wrench.

Ok thanks. The one in the video looks very similar. But it is definitely like the one in the link you shared. Is there anyone in the pgh area that could help me torque this barrel nut, if you know?

I really appreciate the reply and the information. Thank you. I don’t have an armorers wrench or a bench vice (or a bench, lol). For the rest of the assembly I can repurpose the kitchen table.

Try posting this in the general forum. It gets more views than the gunsmithing forum. I'd help you out, but I'm 4 hours away.

Is it like the enhanced upper that uses the BAR wrench? I don't have one but looking to clarify.
