"Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?" - G. Costanza
Thirsty gun owners are having their weapons stolen from vehicles while they wet their whistles at Pa. bars, police say.
The rash of gun thefts while owners are inside saloons is happening in Pittsburgh, where police are warning gun owners about this bar-related crime wave.
As KDKA-TV reports, Pittsburgh police said they have noticed a trend as most of the gun thefts are occurring at night while the gun owners are inside bars, restaurants or other social establishments.

People shouldn't break into cars/homes and steal.

No law prohibiting it. At the end of the article, the police had this advice:
Police are advising gun owners not to leave firearms in their vehicles. Rather, leave the gun at home when going out to bars and restaurants, they said.
“Simply because you locked your vehicle, firearms should not be considered secure in your vehicle because people can easily break into the vehicle. Unless your vehicle would be equipped with a vault that’s secured to the frame and independently lockable,” Vinansky told KDKA.

That's my MO when I know ahead of time that I can't tote where I'm going. OTOH, I also know that concealed is concealed so when I have my P7 in my shoulder holster, I ignore the wish list unless it's a PO or something where it is law. I also avoid going into places who don't like my kind.

If you must leave it in your car, don't be a jackass.
