Default What Ever Happened To 80% Law?

I haven’t heard anything about this recently...did this die on the vine or are they still interested in banning paper weights?

Movement to ban them is not on the table at the moment.

While not great, that's just extra incentive to go through JSD. Already in state, generally fair prices, willing to fight (and eventually buy out) Eagle Arms, etc.

Sure it is. ATF has already published notice of proposed rulemaking, solicited comments, and is now coming up with bullshit responses so they can plow ahead and ban them anyway.

Most recently, ATF has been putting together follow up letters for FFLs to try to get updated stats on the cost and burden of banning 80% kits, but this shows they are still actively in process of moving forward with their ban.

Sources say ATF is months away from issuing final rule, but there ain't no stopping it unless something major happens to squash them.

    Buy 'em while you can.

Can they try to set up something like:

1-no more transactions of 80% products as of a date.

2- From that date onward, existing 80% whether completed or un-machined must have a serial number unique to the possessor, such as a number issued by BATFE.
