Moving into the city with a firearm
Hello,
I am considering moving to Philly. Wanted to know if it's ok to move there with a firearm or do I need license/permit? Please know that the firearm stays home. I don't carry it outside unless I go to the range.
Thanks,

Re: Moving into the city with a firearm
Philadelphia is a city of first class....you do not need a permit to have a gun but you would need a permit to carry concealed or open carry.

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT MOVE TO PHILADELPHIA
It is an absolute shithole. If you MUST move to the area, move to the suburbs but it is ALL going to shit VERY fast. I just moved away from the city. It is a hot steaming pile of garbage and is festering at an exponential rate. DO NOT DO IT. NO MONEY IS WORTH MOVING TO PHILLY.

You need a license to open carry. Other than that, its just like any other place in pa. Well not really.

Re: Moving into the city with a firearm
All parts of Philly suck and I would think very hard about moving anywhere within city limits. As well, the Philly wage tax you will have to pay also sucks. But some parts of the city are worse than others. Where are you thinking of moving?
