Re: Smart' pistols headed to US market
For you younger people please understand that we ancient souls have done everything that we can to not hand over to you this HOT MESS. Lost the first fight to THEM in 1965 and have done everything within our power to hold the line for you.
We are now just too old to be effective in the battles coming so just dig us a foxhole and stock it with ammo. We will do everything possible to give you cover fire as long as we can.
DAMN this is good Scotch, maybe leave some in my foxhole.Courage is being scared to death--but saddling up any way. John Wayne

Re: Smart' pistols headed to US market
Still a stupid idea 20 years later. When you need to use your gun you need it to be reliable and expect it to work to shoot it. There's always the chance of a mechanical malfunction or ammo misfire under normal circumstances but let's just add another variable to the situation. Stupid is as stupid does.

Re: Smart' pistols headed to US market
This reminds me of self driving cars (the thought totally freaks me out). I want to be in control of the steering, accelerator and brakes.

Re: Smart' pistols headed to US market
I guarantee if batteries and electronics are involved the pistol will fail and at the worst possible moment! I will accept their potential use ONLY after 5 years of exclusive use by: Secret Service (esp. the protection details), FBI, Capitol Police Department, PA State Police, NY State Police, California State Police and the city PDs of NY, NOLA, Chicago, Philthydelphia, Camden, NJ and Boston.
