Flash Hider or Muzzle Brake?

I understand the desire to reduce/eliminate flash during low light, both to protect your night vision, and to keep from giving away your position, but is that more really more important than having a pleasant shooting rifle with little, to no recoil with a muzzle brake instead of a flash hider?

I know I'm the only one who can answer the question, but what the heck - it's poofa - everyone knows what other people should do - and at least it's a gun-related topic!

I have rifles equipped with both and I was "this close" to ordering a flash hider, when I thought about how freaking nice the muzzle brake equipped guns are to shoot.

Yeah, I put one on my wife's lightweight build and between that and other factors, it's like shooting a 22LR.
Great product for sure. I was watching some flash hider comparison pics and it doesn't do a whole lot for flash.

I know that you can't really get something that does all things well though, so it's a compromise.

That's one of the muzzle devices I have in the back of my mind though.

I should have noted in the OP that I don't give two fucks about delicate flowers in the next county crying about the noise.

Not sure what you mean. I got my Epsilon for $35.

(I actually have another one - the "slim" version - for a rifle with a pencil barrel and I forgot to put it on! I think I got that one for $45)
