Default Is PAFOA the Gold Standard of "State" Gun Boards?

I know there are general national gun boards and platform-specific gun boards, i.e., ar15.com, etc., but are there equivalent boards devoted to state gun owners like PA has Poofa? If so, how does Poofa compare in terms of format, content, usefulness, fraternity, etc? Just wondering if other states have similar boards and if there are any best practices we could bring to Poofa or maybe if there could be some sort of cross-pollination or maybe at least links to boards in other states?

Anyone a member of a different state board? Compare & contrast...

I've heard good things about the Ohio "Buckeye" gun forum, too.

MDShooters has a wide range of sub-forums of interests, reloading being one popular. Very cliquey though, as with many non-gun forums I found, post-counts are considered king.. No chicklets

Northeast Shooters is terrible, bunch of serfs. Same with any NJ forums.

I'd wager most somewhat populous free states have good boards. Florida and Texas must have decent ones.

    This.

Dissenting opinions need not apply there.

And every other post is trying to get people to join and donate to Maryland Shall Issue, a non profit gun rights group that pesters law makers. They push it so hard it makes it unattractive.

And I am about 90% sure a good number if active users there are Feds or Maryland State Police monitoring gun talk in a gun hating state. But don't ask a basic question there is your post count is under a million or they will assume you are a Fed.

If one of your first five posts is...."I am curious if different bolt carrier groups make a difference in an AR 15" it will be met quickly by "Oh what's next? You ask us how to make the sear go full auto?! Everyone ignore the Fed!"

I'm a member on a C172 board that just recently got merged with a general aviation board. I rarely haunted it but it was my go-to for info when I needed it. Well...I seem to be the outsider over there but I'm toughing it out like a certain fly in the ointment around here. I don't act any different over there than I do here but I expect my life there to be truncated shortly. One thing folks like that can't stand is being shown the light, whether they like it or not.

With me here, that comes as no big surprise.

I think calguns is bigger but just by sheer population and laws of the state makes that board way more active than us.

You will never hear me complain about PAFOA: all the help anyone could ever ask for, and I've made some great friends and good purchases over the years to boot.

There's a very impressive breadth of knowledge here: from guns & motors to law, history and economics. Even a dentist! I'm not sure how good some of the other forums are, but I've seen Noah ID guns I've never even heard of based on a rear sight screw in a single picture!
