Default Thompson Center Cal 50 Percussion Musket

I inherited this Thompson Center Cal 50 Percussion Musket from my Father-in-Law, and I do not know how old the Musket is. The serial number is 64422 and it does not have any other wording except for “Thompson Center Cal 50 Percussion Musket“. The rifle appears to be in excellent condition. Does anybody know the age of this? Thanks.

Thompson Center had a fire that destroyed all of their records of serial numbers and when their guns were made. Also, TC was bought by Smith and Wesson. So, reaching out to owners of similar muskets is a good idea. Try some of the muzzle-loader sites.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
