Yep, that one's geared more towards antiques and militaria.

Competing with Oaks this coming weekend. But it is not an apples to apples comparison.

And The Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg.

My vote goes to Forks of the Delaware. There's not likely anything at Oaks I haven't seen before. Except the people, the people never disappoint.

Gotta agree there. Last time I was at Oaks it was a brutally cold day and I saw a guy walking around in shorts and barefoot wearing Clogs. Was gonna ask if it was anyone here. He had on a custom construction company shirt, but figured to each their own.

Went to the show yesterday. Holy smokes. I walked in with a wad of cash in my pocket looking for three very specific guns knowing that each one was going to probably cost me at least $1k a piece. Didn't find what I was looking for, and there was very little else, other than some modern guns, that were priced below the cash I had. I've never seen so many Sharps carbines for $2500+ in one place. I get that certain old guns carry a premium, but these prices were ridiculous, and the bulk of them were reproductions. And that's not me being cheap. That's me being realistic. And I wasn't the only person that felt that way yesterday. I saw very few public sales, and all of them were for modern firearms.

One table had a bunch of flintlock and percussion pocket pistols. The cheapest one was $1800. I remember when dealers couldn't give those things away in the 80's and 90's. Now apparently they can't sell them because they're so damn overpriced.

Disappointing, to say the least. But all was not lost. I went to Tanner's afterwards and bought a couple of guns.
