Default Companies based in California posting in business section

Why does an online company like AR15 Discounts, which is based all the way in California, have eight out of the 20 threads in the first page of the Business section of the classifieds forum? Shouldn't it be for Pennsylvania based stores or at least local stores to the Pennsylvania area? Not some online company blowing up the Business/Commercial section spamming their website. I'm biased because I own my own business, but this is excessive.

You do know with the internet, a much wider market has opened for retailers, right? There is no one stopping PA businesses from posting in the Business section, is there?

I see no issues if they are paid advertisers.

Why would they have to be paid advertisers? We have a business section for retail businesses to post ads, and as long as they are not spamming, etc. , they should be allowed to post here. There is no one stopping the OP from joining a California-based firearms forum and advertising there.

At least they are in the correct section for commercial business. If they were in the regular classifieds then we would have an issue. The real question is why don't more companies take advantage of the opportunity?

    Serious answer.
I wrote to them years ago and mentioned this forum and the "Deals" thread that I had been posting some of their deals in.
I'm 99% certain that's why they know of us and post here.

Not sure what the issue is.

He's a bit irritated because he is a PA-based business, and CA-based businesses are cutting into his market.

    Capitalism.

If they can pay CA taxes, deal with CA regulations, shipping costs, etc. and still offer a competitive deal? More power to 'em.

Sure, I'll spend a little more or go through a little extra hassle to support local / PA businesses. But not blindly so.

I'm a PA-based business myself but I sell globally... So I definitely see the other side of that coin, and generally favor 'level playing field' for all.
