Me. Need more performance, use a bigger caliber.

I will still shoot my grandfather*s loads. He taught me and I still have his books and tools that I have added to over the years. Nobody else*s reloads will I shoot.

Those case cracks are because the cases weren*t anealed.

I would never purchase non-factory ammo at a gun show or similar. I have shot peoples reloads a handful of times at a match when I miscounted while packing and was a few short to complete the day. Considering they had been shooting them all day - didn't see it as an issue.

A good friend of mine got into reloading after hearing me talk about it all the time. To thank me for helping him, he gave me a box of 9mm he loaded. First round I chambered locked my gun up tight. I had to smash the slide against the shooting bench to get the round back out. Turns out he didn't have his resizing die touching the ram so it didn't resize the last 1/8 in of the case. I would trust my dad's reloads but that's about it I think.

I was gifted a few hundred rounds of .38 special and 357 mag that had been loaded by a friends father (RIP)
Being the overly cautious person I am I broke down every round for the components (tossed the powder). Thank God I did !
One of the 357 mag rounds was crimped so tight I nearly destroyed my kinetic puller trying to get it apart. When I did it had a double load of powder in it.
