My brother in law has one and loves it. He also owns a yugo and a Draco but thinks they are comparable for the normal gun owner.

$600 is high for an AK? Excuse me good sir, have you met our beloved king J Biden? That will be the price of a brick of .22 in a couple years.

Six hundred dollars is high compared to what I paid for an AK nearly thirty years ago!

THIRTY years ago??? What was it, like twenty five bucks???
I paid $179 for my WASR right before Obama was elected, and they had been going up in price about ten bucks every week or so leading up to the election.
A year or so prior, I think they were about $130 at Dunhams.

Biggest regret - selling my WASR for bill money.
Never sell a gun to pay bills - the bills still keep coming in, but you rarely find the guns again for what you paid for them.

It's counterintuitive to ask but I know the Soviet stamped ones are the ones that were made 50 years ago and are still working today after being filled with sand for most of those decades
Original ak's were milled. Then they started making them with stamped receivers for efficiency/price.

Palmetto State AK47's are good to go. The GF5's have ALG triggers and FN chf chrome lined barrels for a marginal increase in price for what you get. GF3's are great too. The new GF3-R and GF5-R are new AK's built with romanian parts kits. I've come across several of these so far and they are great also. Haven't shot one yet though. Most furniture is easy to swap out as long as you buy the correct part. Not as easy as an ar15, but if you know what you're doing it's not hard to find replacements.

Selling a gun for bill money is painful especially in hindsight.

Houses were something like 30% of their current prices

9mm was something like 15 cents a round

Because it was 30 years go
