No, I cancelled, despite them telling me it already shipped and I'd have to return it. It never came because they never shipped. They lied. I got a refund without too much trouble.

They aren't the only seller that pretends that "assigning a shipping number" is the same as "shipping", not even the first to claim that once their shipping department created a number then their hands were tied and it was impossible to stop it from being handed to the carrier, sent to me, and I'd have to return it and pay a restocking fee.

I don't think business like that last long, especially where the market is well-defined and the customers talk amongst themselves.

I've left a negative review on their site twice now and both times it was scrubbed off!

    Wow...

    That's good enough for me.
Mentally noted not to use them.
Maybe I'll email them and let them know why.

Well the issue has been resolved but it was NOT resolved by AU.

After I received an email from AU basically calling me out to say that's just Colt and if you don't believe we sell Colt parts, call them.

So that's what I did. I eventually was routed to the head of distribution for Colt dealers who happens to work with AU quite a bit.

After some discussion it was determined that AU is wrong and they are NOT Colt parts.

The Colt rep said to send him the ones I received from AU and in the meantime, he will send me true Colt Ambi Safties - which he did and I did receive.

He said that the Colt parts have NOT changed and he will be checking in to what AU is doing over there - he said he can't have a dealer lying to customers and making Colt look bad.

So in the end, I really have to hand it to Colt for stepping in to fix the situation and hopefully lay a smack down on AU.

Let it be a warning to anyone looking to buy from Arms Unlimited in the future and a lesson to stay the course if you know you're right when you have been wronged by a company
That is some great CS. Very unusual today. Glad it worked out for you.

Maybe they should change their name to "Arm Pit Unlimited".
