    Default Kel-Tec P50 opinions ?

I am wondering about the KelTec P50 in 5.7x28,
Yes at the moment the ammo is silly priced at about $1 a round, But was well under 1/2 that not long ago,
As a companion to the Fn PS90 and shares the same 50 round magazine, it seems to make sense as long as you have one of them and some ammo already stowed away,
If you haven't been following them, The serialized part of these odd pistoles is the upper, only the trigger is on the lower, The construction lends itself to automated firing from a drone? or something government constructed? Who the heck knows, But they are truly an odd and to me an attractive item which can be carried loaded in your car of you have a CC Permit, 50 rounds is 50 rounds, Yes so it takes a bit to change the magazine, Yes with 50 rounds, It may not be as many changes as the other guy,

3rd party braces and other items as available,
Yes they are a bit of an ugly duckling, Odd and a bit space age and I am sure that a holster is a bit of a joke,
Does anyone here have any experience with one?
What are your thoughts or experiences?

I will buy one as soon as my wife calms down from my last gun buying spree. Already have the mags. I've been drooling over it since it was announced.

Theoretically interested, but realistically wont be buying.

Like most of the KelTec stuff, I do like it, but it wont be easy to come by, and I'm not paying extra for it just because it's hard to find. That, and I'm not fully sold on their QC yet, after hearing about some of their rimfire pistols needing to go back for premature wear.

When they were supposed to be released I asked my local GS and asked to order me one,
Well as you may know month and months went by and then, Well my GS still didn't have one, Yet I walked into anther shop as I was driving past and lo and behold he had one, Yes I picked it up and funny enough he had no ammo, No worries as I have enough at home for testing, I kinda just had to, I did however have to pay MSRP but not more,
Ill be taking to the range the weekend of the 18th,

Looked at one at a local shop, my opinion can be summed up with "weird".

Tanner's had five of them, as of yesterday, for $1075. That's $20 off of MSRP, which Kel Tec raised from $995 earlier this year. Same thing happened with the KSG. It was $880 at launch, then Sandy Hook happened, people started panic buying and for some reason the MSRP on the KSG went up to $1400. Then, after the dust settled, the MSRP went down and the street price settled out around $650-$800. The same will happen with the P50. Once there are enough of them on the market and we're in between crises, the price will drop to well below MSRP.

It's not interesting enough at current market value. Too many other fun things in that price range.

Tanners always had some pull in getting new products in, And I paid a lot less that Tanners price,
The price will most likely drop in the next two years, Yet I'm happy with mine, May be similar to the PS90s when they came out, A few years later the price did drop a bit, And so did the quality of the trigger packs, Ill be out at the range in a week and give it a "shot"
