If only we had sensible Dodge Charger legislation, with restrictions and taxes on those irresponsible dealers!

It happened in the city's Overbrook neighborhood around 8:30 p.m. on 59th Street and Lansdowne Avenue.

Officials say a grey Dodge Charger struck a Route 10 Trolley. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.

Police described the crash as a "T-bone-style" collision. They also told Action News the car struck the trolley so hard it was knocked off its tracks.

Video from the Citizen app showed the vehicle engulfed in flames.

Unfortunately, the 20-year-old driver was later pronounced dead. He was the only person in the car during the crash.

Nine people, including the operator, were on board the trolley when the crash took place. SEPTA officials said the operator and one other passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Four people, including three adults and a juvenile, were taken into custody after a traffic stop in the middle of the Ben Franklin Bridge late Wednesday night.
The Action Cam was there as multiple police officers from Camden County, Philadelphia and the Delaware River Port Authority surrounded the suspects.

"They were able to slow traffic down, to kind of bring the traffic almost to a gridlock, where these folks had nowhere to go," said Camden County Police Chief Gabe Rodriguez.

License plate readers in Camden picked the car, a gold Chevy Cruze. It had been reported as a carjacked vehicle in Philly that was used in an armed robbery on November 14 near the TD Bank on City Avenue.

I am not sure what the circumstances are, but come on man, this isn*t Perry County. PSP has one of the busiest roads, closed for an extended period on one of the busiest days.
