    because criminals don't carry guns if they do not pass background checks...
    So lets infringe on the law abiding citizens right to keep and bear arms in the name of gun control

    There's no reasoning with him. There's no amount of logic that will change his mind. Facts are irrelevant. "Guns are bad" has been engrained in his mind and nothing can change it.
