Spent a few hours out this morning and seen 1 freakin squirrel. Neighbors and I pushed a small piece of woods at 11 and neighbors daughter missed a slammer, shot over his back.

Between buddy & I, I saw 2 doe in 6 days of hunting so far, him 1 buck undetermined points.

Plenty of deer standing along the sides of the road while driving to game lands though.

In the 3 places we go, there have been a total of 3 deer we know that got taken. Well below normal.

Lot less hunters out this year.

Passed on two more doe this past Saturday, bring my total to 4 doe being passed over since the opening day. Even though I hunt with a handgun, I have no desire to take a doe*..yet. Might not get out until the last Saturday when I*ll decide again whether or not I*ll take a doe if I see one.
