    After Christmas season coming up.
I shot my Ithaca slug gun a couple days ago along with my Ruger Redhawk in .44 mag. My New Model Blackhawk in .41 and my S&W 66-2 in .357. These pistols since straight walled cartridges are now permitted in special regs areas.

I'm looking for a rifle in .44 mag but may just have the Redhawk drilled and tapped for a scope. I can shoot decently with the irons to 50 yds.

Might end up spending more of my kids inheritance and get a ruger bolt or a Henry lever gun.

I just resized some .41 and .44 brass and have .41 210 deep curls and .44 IMi 240 soft points.

Of course, there's always the crossbow and back yard which has been incredibly good to me the last 5 or 6 years.

I have 1 2B tag left. I'd like to get some meat for the guy who's helped me get a couple deer back to my truck this year and last

Yinz going out and with what?

    Nice, plenty of options there.

I worked up a .357 load for my Marlin 1894 and sighted it in this week for late season Allegheny Co. I also sighted in my flintlock so I have options as well. Maybe I'll get lucky and see something. Have a 2b tag.

Took a smaller bear during early muzzleloader and saw they the same same spike and doe run around my spot for 2 weeks. Gonna give a new spot a chance with the flintlock.

I've been running 5 trail cams for the last ten days all on public land. I checked them all yesterday. I had multiple deer on all of them. Bunch of doe, three spikes, two fork horns and three legal bucks, two I would shoot. Nothing big. I got a cell cam for Christmas, so I put that out yesterday. So far I got a squirrel on it. I need to do some more scouting. I'm hoping to get out Wed or Thursday with the crossbow. I still just haven't found any big sign in the area. I need to check a couple of swamp edges that are hard to get to and see what I find.

    Howdy PAFOA its been awhile,

Had great success at a coworkers fathers land in South Texas. The deer population down there is unreal. Tons of whitetail and axis deer. I typically hunt near Sonora but this time I got an invitation on to their low fence ranch near Mountain Home. I shot a really nice 10 pointer and 8 pointer (we get five license tags a season). Ill get some pictures up soon.

Came home and that week I shot a big boar hog on my land right near my house. Been the best whitetail hunting season I have ever had.

    21 degrees.
Sounds like a range day to me.

I.got some new sabots for my slug gun and need to check zero.

Since I'm there, might as well start getting ready fir next year.
I.loaded a couple ladder loads for my Tikka .300 and Rem 7mm.

The barrels should cool down faster.

Looks like this afternoon to get the Ithaca out for a doe or maybe just climb the tree with my crossbow.
What's the hunting temp in Texas?
