That's a clown show I have little desire to be in.

Unfortunately for you.... I think Josh gave the best answer for your best chance of selling at a show.

Ya, I wasn*t joking. I*ve done it and it works really well. Anything I wanted to sell was sold within the first 30 minutes of being at a gun show using the sign method.

At least if you are selling a long gun, you can sling it on your back (barrel up) with a little flag down the barrel that says "for sale". Harder to do with a pistol.

I will also suggest Tanners. You're in Merion and Tanners is in lower Bucks. Not super far. I had 3 handguns sold by them thru consignment this year. They charge 15 percent, but I got at least 15 percent more than I would have gotten thru private sales and zero hassle.

Make a stick with a sign, attach a sling to tactical sales stick.

Private individuals can sell on Gunbroker. You don't need to pay a dealer 15% to do it for you. You just need to be sure to follow all of the rules about shipping a pistol only to a verified FFL and only using certain shipping methods - NOT USPS! I haven't done it in a long time so things may have somewhat changed but it still is fairly easy to do legally.

Gunbroker has all of the rules on its website and they are pretty easy to understand. Other than that, you look for a private buyer at the local gunshow and signs are the best way for a private buyer to find you. Of course, FFL transfer needed for pistols. Private long gun sale ok within the state and person not prohibited, etc. Only dummies sell directly to a dealer and only if they want to get low balled.
