Default Where should my family look for acreage south of Saylorsburg?

Hello ladies and gents. Just looking to get opinions on what area is preferable for buying at least 50 acres south of Saylorsburg? Is that a good area to consider? I am asking for a family member.

Here is what is important to them:

-Prefer to be under 2 hours from Lower Bucks County and NYC.
-Relatively cheap property taxes which would be under 1k a year for just the land and under 4k a year with a house on the land.
-Would love to border state land on as many sides as possible.
-Have neighbors that won't complain about recreational shooting on the property a couple of times a month.
-Area not overrun by progressive democrats.
-Area that doesn't have a lot of burglaries.
-Max budget without a house is 500k and max budget with a house is 1 million.

Are these expectations too high for today's market around Saylorsburg?

    Thank you for your input.

Look a little further west on the ridge, like Kunkletown...How flat is the issue.

2 hours from NYC and not overrun by progressives will be difficult. It used to be nice there. If it isn't overrun yet, it will be soon, especially with inflation running away. No matter where they run, they cant get away from themselves.

Thank you all for the input.

I live in Bucks County and will move down south if all of the progressive transplants turn PA into a anti 2A extension of NY and NJ. I have family in NY who want to buy a vacation place in PA because I'm here already. They are Republicans and very pro 2A as well. It has always been a dream to buy a decent size property and be able to shoot on the property.

Monroe county has a lot of NY transplants so they would prefer not to buy a place there. Bucks County is too expensive and has too many progressives.
