Just slightly below the US inflation rate.
My last home in NY was a split-level in Massapequa, Long Island. Built in the 1950's. Around 2,400 sq. ft on a 60x100 lot. Nice house, but nothing fancy or crazy.

I sold it for $650K in 2005. Taxes were $7K/Year at the time.

Probably worth well >$1MIL now. Taxes on it are now $24K/year.

Fucking insane. $2K a month just to live there even IF you own the place outright.

I've noticed that Pleasant Valley is less than the Northampton/Lehigh county area too, tax-wise. With housing prices being high(er) these days, I'm trying to recoup a little $ through lower taxes than what I am currently paying.

I have relatives in Mahoning Twsp. who's house overlooks Lehighton. They managed to get 14 acres together but most of the farms he once hunted are growing houses.

He commutes down the NE extension to Lansdale for work.

A total tax bill of 11K would require an assessed value of at least 400K, Not typical around here.
My son has a relatively new 2 story colonial on 3.7 acres and his tax bill total is 6219.00.
