Re: Any love for Walther?
I love my Walther PPQ M2 .40S&W. Even though it's considered "full size," I still find it easy enough to CC. It's amazingly accurate and fits like a glove in my hand. I am considering getting a PDP in 9mm. Father has a PPX 9mm and it shoots like a dream too. IMO, you can't go wrong with a Walther.

I have a 1941 PPK 32ACP (9mm Kurz). It's my Sunday church EDC, fitting nicely in an ankle holster.

Re: Any love for Walther?
I am a big fan of my walther p99 compact. It's my go to carry piece for the fall months.
I am primarily a sig guy, but a p99 with the decocker and DA/SA trigger works beautifully. The firearm has solid reliability and is a great double stack that fits my hand perfectly
My wife carries her walther pps m2, pretty much all the time.

Re: Any love for Walther?
Can*t be much help but I*m somewhat against the grain here. I bought the PPQ M2 Q5 polymer after reading great reviews. The pistol never did anything for me. The ergonomics aren*t for me and I find it so so at best as far as accuracy. At least for polymer guns they are on par with the other main contenders but nothing more.

Re: Any love for Walther?
I remember reading that Smith and Wesson made some PPK/S's for Walther years ago and there was a recall due to a problem with the de-cocker. They came up with a fix and the repaired guns are marked.

Re: Any love for Walther?
I have a PPSM2 that shoots OK but I'll never get another Walther gun because of their shitty customer service.
So, I got it early on, right after they were introduced. It had a problem from the start - the slide would randomly lock back with a round left in the small magazine. I sent it back to Fort Smith. They kept it for almost a month. When I called to ask for an update they said they were unable to test it because they didn't have any small mags in the shop and were waiting for one. They finally got one, shot a few rounds and sent it back saying there was nothing wrong. It still had the problem. I called and asked how much it was tested and they actually told me that if I wanted it checked again I would have to supply the ammo.
So I ended up taking it back to the LGS. He bent the mag lips in a tad and that fixed it. Turned out that Walther had an early problem with the mags letting rounds raise a little higher so that the notch on the follower was able to contact the lock pin a round early if the dynamics were right.NRA Life Member

Re: Any love for Walther?
I inherited my deceased BIL's PP in .380. For a relatively heavy, all steel pistol, I was surprised at how snappy it shoots. Not pleasant.
I think, and others have concurred, the PP should have stopped at .32ACP.
My P3AT .380 is snappy too, yet not as unfun as the PP. I think the lighter weight polymers of today make more sense for EDC.There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
