SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
I was not and haven’t been in the market for a new handgun ( my WW2 collection pieces aside) but I’m intrigued with the 365 as a year round CCW . Haven’t held one but I hear a lot of good about them …those who have one please let me know the pros and cons of this firearm .
As info my two primary CCW’s are a Beretta Px4 storm compact 9mm and a Ruger LCR .38 spcl.Fortuna audaces iuvat

Love it enough I bought 2.
One has some rust and a dead sight vial. Gunna try to warranty it for the sight. Rust was on me, heavy sweater, not enough lube.

Re: SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
I have and carry a SIG 365X. Very accurate and reliable. I have a red dot optic on it and a manual thumb safety. The only negative thing is the price. Keep in mind there are several different models of the SIG 365. You have to check out SIG's website and decide which one you want.
The one version that I heard negative stuff about was the SAS version. That is because the sights on that model are cut into the slide and some don't like that sight system known as the Flush-Mounted FT Bullseye Fiber-Tritium Night Sight.

Re: SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
Been carrying a P365 for almost two years. Great gun to shoot. I installed a Sig flat faced trigger because I prefer that style trigger over a curved one. Didn't change the trigger pull weight. My front sight was DOA, so I sent it to Sig and they took care of it. Seems to be a issue with a certain batch of tritium sights. I shot mine side-by-side with a friend's Hellcat. Thought the grip on the Hellcat was too square and not as ergonomic as the P365. The P365 feels more ergonomic in my hands. The Hellcat has better sights, IMO, but not enough of a difference to matter.
Only other carry gun that intrigues me at this point is the S&W Shield Plus. Got a chance to mess with one at Tanner's a few months back. Feels just like a regular Shield, but with an outstanding trigger. Will probably add one to the EDC rotation at some point.

Re: SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
I also have 2 of them. A 365X with a red dot cause my eyes aren*t what they used to be. I carry that one daily for work. The second is a SAS model with the flush sight. It*s different, but it works fir me as a pocket or ankle gun. Since it*s smooth, it unholsters easily, but the sight does make it a little less accurate than the red dot or standard sight models. Still, how far are you going to shoot at a bad guy?

Re: SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
I shot the 365 and the XL. They are a quality gun with plenty of magazine capacity in a very small package. I don't have any cons to state except I shot the SA Hellcat also and found I shoot the Hellcat much more accurately. It fit my hands better than the P365's. I have large hands. (used to be able to palm a basketball in the day).
I have friends who hate the Hellcat and love the P365. My advice is shoot both before you lay the $$$ down. You won't go wrong with either but you may do "better" with one over the other.Engineers make things idiot proof! Evolution makes better idiots!

Re: SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
I for one was always a marginal pistol shooter and could usually
Just hit the side of a barn. I loved the look and novelty of the SAS
Model and bought one. I now carry it everyday and can actually
Hold my own with it on a Texas star against a deputy with his service
Pistol.
So I would recommend going to a range or shop that lets you test fire
Various versions and see what works for you.

Re: SIG 365 please tell me pros and cons
I have a P365 and it's a good gun but the grip area is pretty small. I don't have big hands and it's the only semi auto I've owned that I have to interlock my pinky fingers to get what feels like a strong grip for me. I don't have any extended mags for it though so maybe I should pick up a few.

Also take a look at the Ruger Max9. Same capacity, has tritium front sight, optics ready, less expensive.
